The study demonstrated that Ashwagandha root extract (600 mg/day) significantly improved immediate memory, general memory, executive function, and attention and information processing speed, compared to placebo in adults. The supplementation was well-tolerated with no adverse events reported. These findings suggest that Ashwagandha root extract is safe and effective in enhancing memory, executive function, and attention in adults.

Title: Ashwagandha Root Extract in Treatment of Mild Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Children Aged 5–12 Years: A Prospective, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo Controlled Study.

The study demonstrated that Ashwagandha root extract (300 mg/day) significantly reduced Inattention and Hyperactivity-Impulsivity domain scores, and anxiety in children. KSM-66 Ashwagandha did not show any significant effect on the hepatic and renal parameters. The supplementation was well-tolerated, with only mild adverse effects comparable to the placebo group and no serious adverse events. These findings suggest that Ashwagandha root extract is safe and effective in improving attention, and symptoms of ADHD in children.
