Cultivating Quality Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is native to a few regions of the world, each of which yields varying amounts and ratios of bioactive compounds. When looking at global supply chain issues around traceability and sustainability, it is worth considering how an herb is being cultivated before it starts its journey to market. This video highlights the quality measures and organic certifications India-based Ixoreal Biomed attains for its KSM-66 full-spectrum ashwagandha root extract.

Invested in Organic

Since the founding of the company, Ixoreal has been committed to upholding the rigorous standards of the organic certification body. We chose to meet the stringent standards of our organic certification body. Each year, inspectors from the organic certification body evaluate every aspect of our land, production methods, and facilities, including the assessment of crop rotation, soil fertility programs, pest control programs, machinery maintenance, and water use, as well as administrative and documentation practices.

Meet Our Farmers

Sarita

Sarita

'Dhanyavaad, iss Zindagi ke liye'. Thank you for giving me this life. Sarita is one of the many women farmers who are employed at our farms. She has been working with us for five years now. Working makes her feel independent, secure and she of course can take care of her family. Apart from having an inclination towards cooking, weaving and other household chores, she also has an ‘eye for the detail’. Sarita can identify the best Ashwagandha roots.

Keerti Devi

Keerti Devi

Well she can rightly be called the 'terminator' of our farms. She takes care of the cultivation, nurturing and the harvesting of the Ashwagandha roots. Keerti can often be seen working on the farms under the scorching sun. Her husband, Ram is also employed at the farm and their son studies in a school supported by SKP.

Anita Parvati

Anita Parvati

'I was 18 when I started working at the farms. I am 22 now and it seems just like yesterday. It no longer feels that I am working for an employer. I feel that I am working at my own property for my own family. That’s the kind of love and affection I have received from the Ixoreal family’. Anita had been only been involved in household work until she started working with us. She feels empowered now. It is fascinating that she discovered her managerial skills at the farms. She is known for managing a few activities in the firm. A fun loving person, Anita can always be spotted with a smile, humming local folk songs and keeping everyone around her happy.
